The Barrow Offshore Wind Farm is an offshore wind power plant in the East Irish Sea approximately 7 kilometres (4.3 mi) south west of Walney Island, near Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria, England, with an installed capacity of 90 MW. The 30 turbine wind farm was completed in June 2006 and first power was generated in March 2006. It uses Vestas V90-3MW turbines and is operated by DONG Energy. Each turbine is 71 metres (233 ft) high, with blades of 30 metres (98 ft) diameter and a vertical clearance of 25 metres (82 ft).
